Sign ups for my October 16th internet marketing triage webinar have been, uh, less than stellar nonexistent. So I thought I’d give it another shot.
October 16th, I’ll be doing a 90-minute webinar on internet marketing. My focus: Those first things you have to do if you’re going to make an honest effort at an internet marketing campaign.
It’ll be based on my 59 Things internet marketing list. Here’s what we’ll cover:

  • Using Google Reader to monitor your reputation, and keep an eye on your competitors.
  • 5 changes you can, and must, make to your site in an hour or less (and how to make them, or make your developer make them).
  • Step-by-step: How to test your site for load speed, broken links and standards-compliance.
  • How to: Make sure your site uses basic semantic markup, and then hold your developer’s feet to the fire until it’s right.
  • How to use and/or abuse Flash.
  • 4 things you Absolutely Must Fix In Your Cart, Damn It.
  • Lots and lots of Q&A.

The idea of this webinar: Make you an intelligent consumer of internet marketing services, if you’re a business owner; make you a better internet marketer, if that’s your calling in life.

It’ll be worth it, I swear. I’d say seats are going fast, but they aren’t, so I’ll play on your sympathy, instead.
