Clever Copywriter
Top Internet marketing firm Portent Inc. seeks a clever in-house copywriter with sharp wit and unwavering work ethic. Must possess the poetic prowess of Ernest Hemingway and the comprehensive editing skills of a red-pen-holding English teacher.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Writing engaging, informative, and thoroughly researched blog posts, press releases, product descriptions, articles, and other online content
- Deliver high-quality copy to a wide variety of clients under strict deadlines
- Work with the content team to brainstorm marketing ideas based on client objectives
- Coordinate with other team members, account strategists, and designers to create infographics
- Prioritize and manage workload in a high-volume environment in order to meet deadlines
- Stay up to date on evolving social media, search engine optimization, and link-building strategies
You may write about cloud computing one day and chocolate candy the next. Your challenge is to make everything compelling.
Requirements:
- Previous marketing writing experience and/or writing degree REQUIRED
- Knowledge of SEO copywriting, social media and blogging platforms a plus
- Web savvy and proficient with Excel
- Attention to detail, intellectual curiosity and outrageous organization skills
- Excellent editing and proofreading skills
- Self-motivated team player who works well under pressure and with little supervision
- An ideal candidate has 3-5 years of copywriting or marketing experience
- A friendly, outgoing person and compelling communicator
