Lead Link Builder
Lead our link building department on the search for the Internet’s best links. Top Internet marketing firm Portent, Inc. seeks a talented link-builder with a hunger for opportunity hunting and a thirst for World Wide Web wandering. A great candidate must have proven link building experience and basic SEO knowledge. We’re looking for a self-motivated, team player who works well under pressure and with little supervision.
Experience:
- Knowledge of successful link building tactics
- Experience with link request campaigns through email and social media
- Understanding of how links support SEO efforts
- Passion for online public relations and outreach
- Any professional writing experience a plus
- Degree in Marketing or Communications preferred

Primary responsibilities include managing link building tactics, establishing quality links by reaching out to bloggers, and identifying strategic sites to acquire links.
The chosen candidate will spend their day hunting for opportunities, reaching out to sites, building relationships with bloggers and working with the copywriting team to develop strategies. Maintaining relationships and informing sites of client promotions is a critical component of this role. We’re seeking a meticulous record keeper, proficient in Excel and incredibly determined despite the word, “no.” Well-rounded writing will be required (friendly humorous writing one day and serious the next). The right candidate will be able to comprehensively report findings (using cool tools) and think up innovative ways to get links.
