10 fun movies to celebrate International Gamer Day

Next day august 29International Gamer Day is celebrated – a date established to celebrate and raise awareness of the benefits of electronic games.

Created in 2008, in Spain, the date is one of the most awaited of the year and we could not fail to leave it blank. After all, the line between cinema and video games is, these days, almost non-existent: in addition to game-based productions, such as the ‘Resident Evil’ and ‘Sonic’we also have sci-fi constructions that reference these artistic media, such as ‘Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle’ and ‘Player No. 1’.

With that in mind, we’ve put together a brief list of ten super fun movies for you to watch on International Gamer Day.

JUMANJI: NEXT PHASE (2019)

After the success of ‘Welcome to the Jungle’it was only a matter of time before ‘Jumanji’ get another chapter. No sooner said than done, ‘Next phase’ hit theaters in 2018 and grossed over US$800 million worldwide, in addition to having received very positive reviews. In the plot, Spencer decides to fix the game, but this time who ends up being transported into the video game are Eddie, Spencer’s grandfather and his friend Milo. Now, the quartet formed by Bravestone, Finbar, Oberon and Ruby Roundhouse is re-emerged as a new team.

What starts as a hit, ends up becoming an epic adventure that stretches across the world to reach the treasure before the relentless Moncada (Antonio Banderas), who believes he is the legitimate heir to the fortune. If Nate and Sully can decipher the clues to solving one of the world’s oldest mysteries, they might find the treasure and perhaps even the whereabouts of Nathan’s long-lost brother…but only if they learn to work together.
