'Black Adam': Pierce Brosnan Gives Details On Doctor Fate's Powers

‘Black Adam‘ will mark Doctor Fate’s first film adaptation, and the character will be played by none other than Pierce Brosnanwhich brought James Bond to life before Daniel Craig.

In the comics, the hero’s powers come from Nabu’s helm, which grants its wielder mastery of magic, making him one of the most extraordinary mages in the world. A.D.

While Doom only made a few brief marketing appearances for the film, he’s definitely already made an impact, leaving fans eager to see how he’ll be represented on screen.

During an interview with Games Radar, brosnan gave some details about his role.

“I am the oldest of the group. I’m sure he’s one of the oldest characters in the pantheon of comic book characters. He is an archaeologist named Kent Nelson, who finds a helmet that gives him the ability to predict the future, teleport and even raise the dead. I can absolutely say that the helmet is both a blessing and a curse. It’s almost like a drug addiction. It takes a lot of energy to use it.”

“I loved wearing the suit and helmet because they were so well designed. and the director Jaume Collet-Serra was very inclusive in the collaboration. It was wonderful, he sent me drawings of the helmet so I could participate in the composition of the look, it was a very rewarding experience.”

Nearly 5,000 years after he was bestowed with the omnipotent powers of the Egyptian gods – and imprisoned just as quickly – Black Adam (Dwayne Johnson) is released from his earthly tomb, ready to unleash his unique form of justice on the modern world.

The film will also introduce the members of the Justice Society: Doctor Fate (Pierce Brosnan), Black Hawk (Aldis Hodge), Atom Crusher (Noah Centineo) and Cyclone (Quintessa Swindell).

Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra (‘Shallow waters‘), the feature will take place in the same universe as ‘Shazam!‘.
