Just like Facebook, other social platforms like twitter, Pinterest, Linkedin, Instagram, Google Plus have their own features, post engagement ways and off course their own benefits for various kind of business industries.

And yes, social media job is definitely NOT #basic. I wish it were as easy as just appending hashtags #to #every #buzzword– but the job entails superb attention to details, unparalleled fascination with pulling up and comparing stats like reach, impressions, etc., and a brutal amount of patience and creativity to stand out in the sea of content out there. Wishing you best of luck on your job!

I myself am a college student (currently working on Bachelors in Business at UTD) and I was looking into internships in the Dallas area recently. I think it would be very fun to do what you do for a bigger company like Portent. Right now, I manage my social media accounts (for various blogs and websites) and I enjoy looking at all the data and analyzing and then optimizing. However, I feel very limited in what I can do myself.

Nevertheless, I wish you luck in your endeavor.

Managing social media accounts is not easy. But its a great experience. You have to keep yourself updated since content marketing and SEO has a lot of changes almost every year.
