Although Microsoft’s deal for the purchase of Activision is not fully completed, many are wondering about the possibility of Call of Duty appearing on Game Pass. And, at least for now, that shouldn’t happen.
According to Phil Spencer’s own company, the purchase will not break previous contracts made by Activision – and among them is to keep the ones referring to the titles of the war franchise.
“The agreement between Activision-Blizzard and Sony includes certain restrictions on the ability to place Call of Duty games on Game Pass for a period of time,” Microsoft explained.
Curiosity about the new game
It is worth mentioning that much of this curiosity regarding the presence of CoD on the service may be related to the increasingly closer launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, scheduled to hit stores on October 28th.
