Far Cry 6 is a free weekend on PC and consoles

Ubisoft announced on Tuesday that Far Cry 6 will be available for free over the next weekend on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. The pre-download is now only available on PC and PlayStation consoles.

On social media, the company confirmed that it will be possible to play for free now. from this Thursday (4), at 15:00 GMT, until Monday (8), at the same time. You will not be able to preload content on Xbox consoles. All progress will be kept in the full game if the user chooses to purchase.

During the period, Far Cry 6 will be on sale at a discount in digital stores for those who want to guarantee the adventure at a more affordable price. In addition, you will be able to experience DLCs inspired by Stranger Things, Rambo and Danny Trejo.

If you intend to venture on PC, either through the Epic Games Store or Ubisoft Connect, it is worth paying attention to the minimum and recommended requirements to ensure the best possible experience.

It is interesting to note that it is possible to beat the game, on average, with 23 hours of play. This time increases depending on how much the player wants to complete the secondary objectives, and can reach 56 hours, according to estimates by How Long to Beat.

Released in October 2021, Far Cry 6 is the latest adventure in Ubisoft’s famous open-world shooter franchise. The plot takes place in the fictional country of Yara, which is ruled by the dictatorial regime of Anton Castillo, played by Giancarlo Esposito.
