
Fresno released a new EP of remixes for songs from their latest album, “Vou Ter Que Me Virar”, this Friday (5th). For this novelty, the trio from Rio Grande do Sul released new versions of the songs “Casa Assombrada” and “Essa Coisa (Acorda – Trabalho – Repete – Mantém)”.
For the first track, Fresno recruited Chediak with the aim of adapting it to the drum and bass style, a branch of electronic music that was very popular in the 2000s. today”, points out the vocalist Lucas Silveira.
As for “Essa Coisa”, the band had Carlos do Complexo, highly praised by Lucas for making avant-garde electronic music. For the singer-songwriter, his works sound Brazilian and universal at the same time.
“It (the remixed song) is a ‘2-Step’, a subgenre of the UK Garage (the style that makes up Dubstep), this rhythm makes me want to walk more paced and faster, I think that was what made the most sense within the theme, contrasting with some more melancholic moments”, analyzes Lucas.
