the acclaimed comedy ‘hacks’ is one of the favorites for the upcoming awards season – and is already reaping the rewards of its immense success.
During the first days of Emmy Awards 2022it was revealed that Laurie Metcalf took home the award for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series for her lauded performance as Weed.
Remembering that the rest of the winners will be announced in September 12th.

The new cycle will introduce Susie Essman (‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’), Devon Sawa (‘Premonition’), Ming-Na Wen (‘The Book of Boba Fett’), Laurie Metcalf (‘The Conners’) and Martha Kelly (‘Baskets’) to the cast.

The series was created by Jen Statsky, Lucia Aniello and Paul W. Downs.
The production follows Deborah Vance, a stand-up comedian in decline, who finds herself compelled to hire a young internet star to write her new jokes. But the two hate each other at first sight. However, their contempt for each other soon turns out to be the ideal ingredient for a good partnership.
The cast has Jean Smart, Hannah Einbinder, Carl Clemons-Hopkins, Paul W. Downs and Christopher McDonald.
