‘House of the Dragon’: Matt Smith says there may be too much sex scenes in the plot
Like this ‘game of Thrones‘, the derivative ‘The Dragon’s House must abuse the sex scenes, as revealed Matt Smithinterpreter of Prince Daemon Targaryen.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, the star said that he felt an exaggeration on the part of the creators of the attraction when it comes to scenes of this type.
“When I was shooting, I was like, ‘Do we need another sex scene?’ And they were like, Let’s do one more.’ But I think when you do something based on a book, you should portray it the way it is in the book,” he said, referring to the excess of sexual passages in the novels of George RR Martin.
Even so, he admitted that he didn’t expect that there would be this excess in the adaptation?
“I really think it’s your job to represent the books truthfully and honestly as they were written. But if you ask my opinion, I say it’s a little too much, it’s an exaggeration.”
It is worth remembering that whengame of Thrones‘ premiered, was considered a very controversial series for abusing female nudity and portraying most women as sexual objects and without great political importance, with the exception of three or four.
But that won’t happen in the derivative, as the producer assured. Sarah Hess.
In an interview with Vanity Fair, hess said that:
“I would like to clarify that we do not portray sexual violence in the series. I think what our show does, and what I’m proud of, is that we’ve chosen to focus on the violence against women that is inherent in a patriarchal system, such as the absence of many of their rights.”
Her comments echo a statement given by the showrunner. Miguel Sapochnik.
“You cannot ignore the violence that was perpetrated against women through men at that time. This is something not to be minimized and not to be glorified, so we are making a point of touching that wound throughout the show.”
Remembering that the first season will consist of ten episodes and has a premiere scheduled for the day August 21.
