
Through Twitter, John Krasinski announced that filming for his new film has already begun.
Entitled ‘if‘, the feature was initially being worked on with the title ‘Imaginary Friends‘, and it’s a fantasy comedy starring Ryan Reynolds (‘Deadpool’).
Announced in 2019, the production revolves around a man who can see and talk to people’s imaginary friends, befriending those who have been forgotten or discarded. However, some of them end up becoming evil spirits due to the lack of affection, and it’s up to the character of Reynolds save the world from those who turn evil.
Originally scheduled for November 2023, the film will hit the big screen in May 24, 2024.

In addition to writing and directing, Krasinski will also be one of the cast members, marking the first time he works with Reynolds.
The reason for the title change and premiere date was not revealed, but the Paramount Pictures already been working on the production schedule in partnership with Krasinski.
please note that ‘A Quiet Place: Day One’presequence of ‘a silent place‘ produced by Krasinski would be released in September 2023, it has been pushed back to spring 2024.
As for ‘if‘, the cast also has Phoebe Waller-Bridge (‘Fleabag’), Cailey Fleming (‘The Walking Dead’), Louis Gossett Jr. (‘Watchmen’), Fiona Shaw (‘Harry Potter’), Alan S. Kim (‘Minari’) and Steve Carell (‘The Office’).
