Imagine Dragons postpone shows in Brazil due to vocalist Dan Reynolds' health problems

Imagine Dragons announced the postponement of their shows in Brazil and the entire tour in South America. The band released a statement, this Monday (17), explaining that the reason is related to health problems involving vocalist Dan Reynolds. Read the translation below:

“We are very sorry to have to postpone our shows in Latin America. In our 12 years as a band, we have never had to cancel a tour (and we can count the number of shows on one hand). We hope you know how hard it is for us to postpone these tours. dates, and we plan to reward you soon.

Some of you may know that Dan has been battling a vocal cord hemorrhage and a nodule since the last leg of our tour, and he was warned by his doctor that going now could cause his voice to rupture and irreparably damage. Unexpectedly, he is now also dealing with a serious knee sprain, which will require immobilization and rehabilitation for a while. We can’t now give you the shows you expect and deserve.

We’ll keep you all updated as we work out new dates, and we’re sorry for those who have booked travel and other plans to see us. Refunds are available for those unable to attend the new dates. All our love, Dragons.”

The band would perform this October, in Curitiba, São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, on the 25th, 27th and 29th respectively.

According to the Eventim Brasil publication, fans can keep the same ticket for future dates, which will be announced soon. Refund information will be sent to consumers in the purchase email.
