Chad Stahelskidirector ofJohn Wick 4‘ revealed that this will be the longest film in the action franchise starring Keanu Reeves. In an interview with Collider the Stahelski was asked about the size of the fourth film in the franchise’John Wick‘, and even though he tried to deflect, he spoke more.
“It’s bigger than the other three, but not that big,” he confesses. Stahelski.
Remembering that ‘John Wick: Back in the Game‘ is 101 minutes long, already ‘John Wick: A New Day to Kill‘ has 122 minutes, while ‘John Wick 3: Parabellum‘ has 131 minutes. That is, the fourth movie will be at least two hours and twelve minutes in total. Anyone bet on 1h30?
The filmmaker was also asked about the editing process, and how close to completion the film is. “We’re in the final stretch of production, and then we have our music and visual effects. But this is the farthest I’ve ever been, so far into post-production. We love the music we have so far. We still have Tyler Bates doing the writing on some of the bigger sequences,” he said.

John Wick (Keanu Reeves) faces its deadliest opponents yet in the upcoming fourth part of the series. With the price on his head ever increasing, Wick takes his fight against the global High Table as he seeks out the most powerful players in the underworld, from New York to Paris, Osaka and Berlin.
Remembering that Donnie Yen, Shamier Anderson, Bill Skarsgård, Hiroyuki Sanada, Rina Sawayama and Scott Adkins were also added to the cast of ‘John Wick 4‘.
The sequel will also bring the return of Laurence Fishburne as King of Beggars, Lance Reddick like Charon the concierge of the Continental Hotel, and Ian McShane like his manager, Winston.
Chad Stahelski returns to direct and promised a film worthy of the franchise:
“We’re happy with the action sequences and we don’t want to miss that. I want to be a better director, but that doesn’t mean the sequel will have less action,” he stated.
The 3rd film in the franchise, ‘John Wick: Parabellum‘, became a box office success, grossing US$ 326.7 million worldwide – with a budget of US$ 75 million.
‘John Wick: Chapter 4‘ opens in theaters on the day March 24, 2023.
