THE Universal Pictures released the new national poster of ‘More than friends‘, the first gay romantic comedy produced by a major studio.

In an EXCLUSIVE interview with CinePOP, the director Nicholas Stoller revealed that the film “is a realistic, fun and funny romantic comedy about two men who never quite work out in love and end up falling in love.”

“Audiences will fall in love with this different and fun story. We brought a lot of humor and romance to this film that will delight you.”

already the star Billy Eichner – who co-wrote the film with Stoller – stated that the production is a cinematic milestone:

“A gay romance movie being released by the same studio as Jurassic World and Minions is something new in the industry, and I’m very proud of what we’ve done. Let’s show with a lot of comedy the story of a homosexual relationship. The movie wasn’t just based on my story, but on that of several gay friends I have. Everything that happens in the movie is based on a true story. Showing the gay world in such a true and humorous way is amazing…”, he said.

In the plot, two men with love problems enter into a surprising relationship.

The entire cast of the film is made up of LGBTQIA+ actors, including Luke Macfarlane, Monica Raymund, Harvey Fierstein, Guillermo Diaz and the winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race, symone.
