Persona 4 Golden and Persona 3 Portable run at 60fps on consoles

After releasing Persona 5 Royal for multiple platforms – even reaching the Game Pass catalog – Atlus will now release two other classics from its acclaimed series of JRPGs for the Switch and on the platforms of the PlayStation and Xbox families. And apparently the ports of Persona 4 Golden and Persona 3 Portable perform well, running at 60 fps on consoles.

The information was revealed by Atlus itself in an interview with The Mako Reactor website. In the text, the producer also revealed that in addition to reaching 60 frames per second on Xbox Series S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch consoles, P4G and P3P run at 120 fps on Xbox Series X and support the Quick Resume feature.

Always quite popular, the Persona series used to be a PlayStation exclusivewith Persona 3 and Persona 4 originally releasing for PS2, P3 Portable coming to PSP, P4 Golden being a PS Vita title, and finally, Persona 5 coming to PS3 and P5 Royal being exclusive to PlayStation until the end of the year past.

With the launch of games on other consoles, Atlus realized the immense popularity of the series on platforms from other manufacturerscausing Persona 5 to surpass the mark of 1 million copies sold worldwide.

With such popularity and having finally made it to consoles other than the PlayStation, it’s only to be expected that the series will become cross-platform when Persona 6 is finally announced.

Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden arrive on PlayStation, Switch, and Xbox family consoles (including the Game Pass catalogue) tomorrow, January 19th.
