‘Stranger Things’: Vecna’s interpreter says that President Bolsonaro “is a COMPLETE asshole”
Shortly after the premiere of the 2nd part of the 4th season of ‘Stranger Things’, Jamie Campbell Bower, interpreter of the villain Vecna, paid a visit to Brazil to familiarize himself with the country that has one of the biggest fan bases of the series.
And, during an interview with Vulture, the star compared Vecna to President Bolsonaro, but with the difference that the character of the series is not a complete break-in.
When commenting on the trajectory of Henry Creel to become Vecna, bower was asked if the villain deserves redemption.
In response, he argued that the character went through traumatic moments in childhood and adolescence and deserved the benefit of the doubt, unlike the president.
Anyone who has followed the series knows that Creel used his telekinetic powers to murder his family and frame his father, Victor Creel (Robert Englund).
In 1979, he is admitted as the first paranormal experiment to Hawkins National Laboratory, site of his encounter with Eleven (Millie Bobby Borwn), which ends up causing his transformation into Vecna when she traps him in the Upside Down.
“As an artist, I have to think, ‘Oh my god, come here. Let me love your inner child. Let me understand you instead of judging you,'” he said. bower. “I can’t just say, ‘Oh, you’re just an asshole.’ We’re not talking about Bolsonaro’s asshole. He’s a complete asshole.”
