
The survival thriller’The beast‘, starring the star Idris Elba (‘The Suicide Squad’), had a lukewarm opening at the North American box office, earning only $11.5 million on your first weekend.
The feature took second place at the box office in the country, having been barred by the anime ‘Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero‘ (US$20.1M).
Internationally, the production raised $10.2 million across 16 markets, totaling a global debut of $21.8 million.
Unfortunately, considering your budget of $36 millionterror must reach at least $100 million at the box office to be considered a success.
