THE ABC released the official trailer for season 5 of ‘The Rookie‘, starring Nathan Fillion (‘Castle’).

In addition, it was revealed that the new episodes are scheduled to premiere on September 25th.

Starting over isn’t easy, especially for John Nolan, a country guy who, after an incident, goes after his dream of being a LAPD cop. As the oldest rookie on the force, he is met with skepticism from some superiors, who see him as just a walking midlife crisis. If he can’t keep up with the young cops and criminals, he’s risking lives, including his own. But if he can use his life experience, determination and sense of humor to give you an edge, he can become successful in this new chapter of his life.

The cast still has Shawn Ashmore, Mekia Cox, Jenna Dewan, Alyssa Diaz, Richard T. Jones, Melissa O’Neil and Eric Winter.
