With dozens of hits, Eminem releases the sequel to “Curtain Call”
Eminem has just released the second part of one of the most successful albums of all time. “Curtain Call 2” summarizes his career from 2009, when “Relapse” was released, to the present day.
“Curtain Call” came at a time of industry transition, when downloads, legal or illegal, were already having a huge impact on the music world, but CDs still accounted for a large part of record companies’ revenue.
At that point, Eminem was already a phenomenon and had racked up enough hits to fill the entire length of a compact disc. The result was a collection that achieved immediate success and became one of the mainstays of the following years – in the US it won a diamond disc in 2022, for sales exceeding 10 million copies, and in the UK it has surpassed two million copies. of units, it is still going strong on the hit chart (this week it is in 12th place).
“Curtain Call 2” is a double album with 34 songs (35 in the digital version) that brings not only hits, some stronger than others, of course, but also a trio of novelties: “Is This Love (’09) (feat . 50 Cent)”, was in the artist’s archives, but has only now been made public. “The King and I (feat. CeeLo Green)”, written for the soundtrack of “Elvis”, and “From The D 2 The LBC (With Snoop Dogg)”, his most recent single.
